Pauline's thrilling escape backstory!
An ingenious Plot is hatched, and Miss P. discovers misdirection and improvisation.

Angry and frightened, in her mind she goes to the only place she knows....the Dictionary!
Back in the past, in NYC, Pauline and her Baba have a rare moment unsupervised by Auntie Zia, who still wishes the child was more Italian. She has begun letting her come downstairs for meals, and has given her a book of Italian Art.
Suddenly, she gets an idea!

Allowed out for supervised visits to the Art Museum, Pauline's escape plan is put into action early!
"Well, Mother was supposed to have wed a mafioso, Grandmother told me; that's how I know so!
